After 30 years of marriage and countless shared adventures, Doug brings his own unique talents and perspective to the team. Doug’s professional background includes over a decade of service in municipal water systems, over thirteen years as a regional water commissioner managing Colorado’s water resources, and two years of statewide coordination between water administration field staff and the application development team. His deep understanding of water systems, infrastructure, and resource management gives Blue Moon Medias an edge when capturing complex features like irrigation systems or utility infrastructure—a valuable perspective for clients in both real estate and commercial projects.

Doug’s journey into drone piloting is inspired by a lifelong dream of flying. While he may not have pursued a traditional pilot’s license, operating drones allows him to live out that dream in new and exciting ways capitalizing on his previous construction equipment operating experience. From capturing sweeping mountain vistas and rolling hills to providing unparalleled aerial perspectives for real estate listings, Doug’s work reflects his passion for exploration and storytelling. His wildland firefighting experience also ensures every drone mission is conducted with safety and precision, even in challenging environments.
